In the year of 2018 the Hungarian coordination of PA2 was focusing on green transportation. In accordance, PA2 has commissioned a study, prepared by the Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research (Hungary), titled ’Promoting sustainable energy use in the transport sector of the Danube Region – Towards a uniform policy assessment methodology’.

Project financing conference has been organised already in the third time in Budapest aiming at to introduce the actual financing opportunities to the more than hundred stakeholders from Hungary. The project financing conference was organised in Budapest in the Mercure Budapest Buda Hotel on 12 November 2018.

It is our pleasure to inform you that the Sustainable Energy Priority Area (PA2) of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) organises its 5th Stakeholder Seminar, entitled ‘Green transportation in the Danube Region’, which will be held on the 5th December 2018 in Budapest.

PA2 participated also on Working Group „Sustainability, Energy and Environment“ meeting of the Working Community of the Danube Regions and Council of Danube Cities and Regions, which was organized on the 17th October 2018 at the Austrian Embassy in Sofia.

As a key event of the 2018 EUSDR Presidency, Bulgaria and the European Commission, in cooperation with Danube Transnational Programme, were jointly organizing the 7th Annual Forum on 18 - 19 October 2018 in Sofia.

The “International E-Mobility-Workshop” together with the “E-Mobility-Day” took place on 25th and 26th of May 2018 in Lower Austria. The two day networking event focused on the energy reduction potential in the mobility patterns and technology changes of e-mobility. In addition to that participants had the opportunity to test a wide range of e-vehicles at one of Europe’s biggest e-mobility test events.
