Working Group „Sustainability, Energy and Environment“ meeting (Sofia, 17th October 2018)

PA2 participated also on Working Group „Sustainability, Energy and Environment“ meeting of the Working Community of the Danube Regions and Council of Danube Cities and Regions, which was organized on the 17th October 2018 at the Austrian Embassy in Sofia.


In the first panel Mr Peter Obricht gave updates on the last meeting of the Working Group that was held on 26-27th May 2018, connected to the e-mobility workshop held in Melk and co-organized by HU PA2 team. Mr Christian Steiner gave an update on another Working Group meeting from 24-25th April 2018, which was mainly about the revision of EUSDR Action Plan.


Klára Fedorucová presented PA2 activities by giving short introduction of CZ and HU Coordination team and talking about past and future events. Furthermore, Ms Fedorucová introduced PA2’s planned approach towards the revision of Action Plan. In her presentation, she was talking about the three studies of the priority area in this year and gave update about the DARLINGe project and Seed Money Facility call. 

Florian Ballnus presented activities of PA6 "To preserve biodiversity, landscapes and the quality of air and soils". Mr Ballnus introduced studies they have planned for this year and presented their thoughts on the Revision of Action Plan.

Mr Erwin Szlezak’s presentation was focusing on Interreg projects and SONDAR. Different projects were introduced, like the ClimateGreen AT-CZ, and the one between HU-AT Inteko and they presented their plans for next year.


Robert Lichtner introduced the newly formed DSP (Danube Strategy Point) team working from Vienna and Bucharest. Their main task and goal for the last few months of 2018 is to gather the views and opinions on the Action Plan revision from all priority areas and help them to manage the revision.
