HUNGARY HOLDS THE PRESIDENCY OF THE EU STRATEGY FOR THE DANUBE REGION
In the frame of the 5th Annual Forum of the EUSDR in Bratislava on 5th November 2016, Hungary took over the Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region from Slovakia.

FIRST PROJECT MEETING OF THE DARLINGE PROJECT HELD IN BUDAPEST
The first Project Meeting of the DARLINGe – Danube Region Leading Geothermal Energy – project was held in Budapest, Hungary on 23 January, 2017. The meeting was hosted by the Lead Partner of the project, the Geological and Geophysical Institute of Hungary.

Danube strategic project fund – a new way of funding for the danube region
The Danube Strategic Project Fund is a new facility aiming at supporting the implementation of transnational strategic projects aligned with the objective of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), with a specific added value at the interfaces between cohesion and enlargement/neighbourhood policy.

Signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the Carpathian Convention and the PA2 EUSDR
The Memorandum of Cooperation aims at enhancing synergies between processes and mandates of the Carpathian Convention and the EUSDR to the benefit of the Region, and at ensuring the further strengthening of the ongoing Danube - Carpathian collaboration.

Energy Innovations and RES Projects seminar´s participants discussed possible project cooperation in the Danube Region in Prague 15-16 September, 2016
On the 15th and 15th September about 70 participants from ngo, private but also state sector met to gain information on financing possibilities for energy projects and to find potential project partners during the "Innovative and the Renewable Energy Sources project seminar", which was organized by EUSDR Priority Area 2.
